The Tennessee Association of Craft Artists (TACA) is a statewide, independent, nonprofit organization founded in 1965 to encourage, develop and promote crafts and craftspeople in Tennessee. TACA has created the possibility for regional chapters to provide programming on a local level. A portion of membership dues is returned to active chapters as seed money for their own activities. Active chapters meet at least four times each year and they sponsor activities for their membership. Active chapters are: CAST (Craft Artists of Southern Tennessee), Cumberland Valley (CV-TACA), Highland Rim Chapter, MACA (Memphis Association of Craft Artists), State of Franklin, and TACA West.
