Artists of Southern Tennessee (CAST) is one of six active regional chapters
To become a member of any TACA Chapter one must simply join TACA. You can join TACA by clicking TACA_MEMBERSHIP and following the directions on the TACA website. If you live in the green shaded area (map below) and you wish to become a member of CAST please contact the CAST Secretary listed below to let us know of your wish. You will then be included in CAST chapter communication and web site. The Tennessee Association of Craft Artists (TACA) is a statewide, independent, nonprofit organization founded in 1965 to encourage, develop and promote crafts and craftspeople in Tennessee. TACA has created the possibility for regional chapters to provide programming on a local level. A portion of membership dues is returned to active chapters as seed money for their own activities. Active chapters meet at least four times each year and they sponsor activities for their membership. Active chapters are: CAST (Craft Artists of Southern Tennessee), Cumberland Valley (CV-TACA), Highland Rim Chapter, MACA (Memphis Association of Craft Artists), State of Franklin, and TACA West. CAST members participate in a number of chapter activities during the year. They regularly participate in the TACA craft fairs by exhibiting, being part of the chapter booth, demonstrating, or volunteering. In addition CAST holds its HOLIDAY STUDIO TOUR event during the first weekend of December every year. It also holds a July 4 SILENT AUCTION at Local's gallery on Universtity Avenue in Sewanee, TN.
