CAST is a regional chapter of The Tennessee Association of Craft Artists (TACA). TACA is a statewide, independent, nonprofit organization founded in 1965 to encourage, develop, and promote crafts and craftspeople inTennessee.

CAST is one of six active regional chapters of  (TACA). It encompasses the southern Tennessee counties from Wayne County to Polk County.

TACA holds two craft fairs each year in Nashville's Centennial Park. CAST members participate in TACA's craft fairs by exhibiting, demonstrating a craft, and volunteering for other duties.

CAST's big event for each year is its HOLIDAY STUDIO TOUR, held during the first weekend in December in the Sewanee and Monteagle, Tennessee area. Over 35 craft artists will present a wide variety of crafts and products at the event. You will find pottery, wood furniture, wood carvings, handmade books, jewelry, and many other items made from wood, glass, metals, and fabrics.

CAST plans to hold it's second annual silent auction on July 3, 2010 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at LOCAL's Gallery on University Avenue in Sewanee, TN. Come by and place a bid or two on some outstanding craft items. At the same time you will enjoy a beautiful gallery and the many other items there.

The auction was a big success last year. The proceeds benefit the local CAST Chapter.
